I've actually been here quite a lot lately.
A bit sad...
The 50D is nice.
Close to full 35 is close enough.
The Canon 5D is pretty awesome. 21 megapixel and it shoots full HD at 30fps/16:9/1080p.
Good sharp footage as long as you don't pan.
The jello is horrible and there's still a lot of noise in the shadows.
It's the mkII, btw. :-)

The new Pana GH1 seems to be the better choice for video work right now.
Not too keen on the AVCHD format though.
