Only on one occaision have I met anyone that was aware of Red Krayola. Even then, that person was only aware of Parable and wasn't aware of anything he had done afterwards. I'm not denying Mayo Thompson isn't prolific, he's done a ton of shit and he gets proper recognition in the more esoteric circles.

Half Japanese has a documentary made about them. I encounter faaaaaaaar more people aware of Half Japanese than one might think. When I meet someone who knows a little something about indie rock, the name Half Japanese isn't totally foriegn.

Beyond that, I think that the Red Krayola has produced some of the most interesting music of the past twenty-five years... more people need to dig it.
