to answer yes it's not "proven" yet, but it isn't proven either that it's learned. i tend to lean a lot on the genes and their expression because that can be proven/studied. it would be safer to say that's innate rather than genetic. there was some recent experiment with animals that tend to indicate that stresses during pregnancy could cause hormonal changes in the fetus that would lead to a "homosexual" brain if you can call it that.
what we need is more and better science to understand. the politics is a separate thing-- science is not going to tell us one way or another how to live. it merely provides explanations for how things work. politics doesn't explain how things work, but it determines how we live in a society. two very different things.

I major in Psychology and have watched/read various studies where it shows how homosexuals' brains are chemically different than heterosexuals. This is like first-year Psychology for Christ's sake. If you want to take the Christian side and be ignorant, go for it.
