I wouldn't say that. While his cut-up novels aren't for everyone, he is a very intelligent man, even if it doesn't show in some of his novels. I enjoy reading interviews with him more than I do his actual work. However, I believe Junky to be one of the best, if not the best, books on heroin addiction.
