If I remember correctly it was

80's - Sister / Daydream Nation
90's - Washing Machine
00's - Sonic Nurse

You have to take Washing Machine in the context of when it came out, hearing songs like 'Little Trouble Girl', 'The Diamond Sea' and 'Skip Tracer' must have been mindblowing, they had done nothing of the sort previously. I always see Washing Machine as the turning point in which you see the modern sonic youth evolving.
