Punk n' roll legends
The Stooges are to release their first new material in 33 years in the form of new album
The Weirdness. The band played two heavily-attended sets at this weekend's All Tomorrow's Parties Nightmare Before Christmas event.
With a release date pencilled in for the 20th March 2007, most of the recording has already been done with uber-producer Steve Albini at the helm.
Track titles for the record include:
'Trollin'
'Greedy Awful People'
'Claustrophobia'
'Mexican Guy'
'I'm Fried'
'ATM'
'O Solo Mio'
'She Took My Money'
'End Of Christianity'
The band retains three quarters of the original 1967 line-up, as well as original sax player Steve Mackay. Iggy Pop's face was recently reported to be more than 60% leather, though this has yet to be confirmed by official sources.
