Freedom is an idea one has inside. You are "free" or "not free" in your own.
The real thing we should protect is our LIBERTY.
There is a reason the quote is "Life , LIBERTY, and the pursuit of happiness"
Liberty allows us to actively assert and act on and create our "freedom"
