I'd rather not hijack threads, so a general thanks to those who asked after me.

I am out of the hospital, and no, I did not have an STD or bodily deformity. It was quite odd, I was feeling a bit off (headachey, nauseous, etc.), and after being discovered raving with a fever of an insanely high degree, I was carted off to the hospital, where it was discovered I had some random infection, which they still have no idea how I caught.

I was all wired up to antibiotic IVs, but while I was confined to a hospital bed, I was often doped up on some delightful pain medication, and when I was coherent, I got in some much-desired reading time, so all in all, it wasn't that awful.

The hospital I was at also served Yoplait rather than their own brand of food, so that was a bonus. Mmmm....yoghurt.....

One of my roommates was this horrifically old, obstreperous woman who, when with her family, was quiet and demure, a well-behaved patient. When they went home, she began screaming and shitting herself in her bed. It all turned out to be a devious plot to get the nurses to give her extra pain medication just to quiet her down. Messy, but not a bad plan at all.

More interesting tales to come. But anyhow, in a rare moment of gravity, really, I appreciate the welcome. Thanks everyone.
