but no. here in 'merica, retired politicians are addressed by their "title" after they leave office

i put title in quotations because it's a bit like nobility-- but not really

but anyway. so it's also still president bush, president clinton, president bush, president carter, etc

there's also secretary clinton, btw.

why not senator clinton? (she was one) i think it goes by this somehow:
