Some time has passed now and I think I've fully processed my viewing experience. So here it goes:
Avengers: Age Of Ultron
I was somewhat entertained while it lasted but even during my viewing process I felt waves of disappointment heading towards me. Ultron had tons of potencial as a villain, but in my opinion it wasn't fully realized. It didn't feel like he was that much of a threat. Then there were some pacing issues. Vision's first appearance, while beautifully shot, was extremely rushed and kind of seemed out of place.
And then there were plot points that got entirely abandoned later in the movie. I don't want to spoil anything for potencial US-viewers (who still have to wait until Friday), so I'll keep it vague. There are characters in the movie that have a personal vendetta against Tony Stark. It would have been interesting if this plot point were explored further, but it somehow got shoved off a cliff towards the end of the movie.
Overall it felt like there were so many concepts that never got past the Alpha or Beta-Phase. There were a few standalone scenes though that were a thing of beauty. Two of them involving Vision. And the chemistry between the characters is still there. If I were to rate it, I'd give it a 6/10 right now.
