i forgot to add, to make it entertaining you can add things like dried cranberries/raisins/currants/whatever, or even dark chocolate chips, or you can roast them and add soy sauce or chile powder, etc. but for no brainers i carry them plain and raw. also alternative: pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, whole oranges, etc.
the trick is to keep your water bottle and your snack baggies in the same place you keep your car keys/wallet/pack to go out, so you don't have to think about it.
