yeah, no, i don't think jobs is admired because he had money, but rather by pushing technology forward to revolutionize the way we live and work, the same way people admired edison or graham bell. yes, jobs wasn't an inventor proper, we live in a different era now, but he was great at marshalling engineers into turning geeky things into simple stuff a dumbfuck could operate, and with his devotion to aesthetics, turning clunky shit into beautiful design.

for the record edison had ahdh and he'd come up with a shittillion ideas but he didn't follow them through-- his minions did that.

anyway, it's the fucking creativity that people are applauding.
