Brett favre has never ever been a real locker-room leader. he leads by example, and the last two years the example has been "I am better than the team. I am worth more than the team. I do not need to practice or come to training camp or even be up front with my management and team ownership."

Favre is one of the best to play QB, but he is also one of the most frustrating "great" players ever.
and the season is still early yet. however, last year all the pieces fell into place and Favre had the benefit of the WR's and peterson and a quality O-line.
most anyone could have and would have a "career" year playing with those cats.

something about him does not strike me as right. he is a multi millionair hick. he claims to still be country but from what I have read, he does not have many friends in Mississippi where he lives. I think he alienated a lot of people throughout his life.
then he alienated several million Packer faithful by actively seeking employment with the goddamn ENEMY.
while I am no packer fan nor a Viking fan, I respect rivalry, and I respect athletes who stick by the teams that got them where they are. busienss is business, but Favre going to vikings was all about payback, not business.

Texans/Packers Super Bowl, in Big D!
