CD > VINYL? any success
 

I'd like to transfer my CD's to gramophone records just to act like I'm hip and all. I was wondering if anyone had any success stories?

the first step is melting enough black crayons.

once you have, press the cd (face down) onto still melted mass. if you press it firmly enough, the natural grooves of the cd will transfer to yr new vinyl with stunning clarity!

next, set yr turntable to spin at 78rpm and enjoy the new hip stylings of yr favorite music.

note: the more expensive the cd, the better this technique works.

It'll never work. CDs go from the inside out and need a constant linear velocity rather than the LPs constant angular velocity.

Duh.

If you're having copyright issues, I think you can just put some masking tape over the vinyl. Seems like the simplest solution.
