it's a nice surprise. I had decided to push it out of my mind. I haven't read any of the 'thoughts on the Eternal' threads on here. Haven't really read any of the articles/reviews of the new album. Haven't heard any of the songs. And actually didnt even remember the exact release date. So now I all the sudden it's like "HOLY SHIT! THER"ES A NEW SY ALBUM ON ITS WAY TO MY HOUSE!!!!!"

It's probably better that you distanced yourself from anything related to it, that way you can enter into it with out any preconceived notions.

thats how I was with sonic nurse. I didn't hear anything about it until the day it came out, when I got it to get a free ticket to the Troubadour gig.. putting it in my headphones and hearing it for the first time was magic, especially so after camping out on Sunset blvd since the night before.. I intended to do something similar with this one, like I did with the last two, but it doesn't look like they are doing it again. must have been a geffen promo deal..

Ditto, I'll be ripping the vinyls to 24/96 FLACS A.S.A.I.A. + the Art Box set is closed to being shipped as well. I'm one happy guy today.

oooooooooooh! The Eternal box! I thought you meant the artbox we've been discussing in the other thread.

I've also had confirmation of my box set being sent, or i hope thats what the email said as it was in japanese i couldn't understand it.

I did see a couple of these on ebay for a fair(ish) price.
