my friend is blind as you.. he loses his glasses periodically and lives that blind for months and months at a time..

he has learned to recognize the blurred images of people he knows outline from a distance, but actually can never see people clearly unless they are 3 feet in front his face..

you'd never know he couldn't actually see you..

I don't understand this: if yr blind without yr glasses, how can you lose 'em?

I take my glasses off to shower and to sleep. If, for example, the glasses fall off the nightstand, I have to use my hands to find 'em.

And how can you type on a computer without 'em?

I am also blind as a bat. The other day my contacts were playing up and I couldn't see properly at all, and I was stuck there in the middle of a college lecture not being able to see anything or participate. Getting home was an adventure.

It's not too hard to type without my glasses on...I don't necessarily look at the keys when I type.
