SYR2 is exactly what you need to fill a spare half hour.

SYR3 beats it, but is it an EP at almost an hour? Whatever, it has J O'R on it, and that's 'the best' for me.

atsonicpark 09.24.2006 07:02 PM

I almost always prefer a band's ep's to their lp's..

nature scene 09.24.2006 08:19 PM

I've always thought of the first sonic youth album as an EP, but apparently it's not?

I like:
Prospect Hummer - Animal Collective
Green Cosmos - Deerhoof
SYR 1
Watery, Domestic - Pavement

golden child 09.24.2006 08:56 PM

burzum - aske

EricsTrip 09.24.2006 09:19 PM

*The United States space agency NASA has a long tradition of playing Duran Duran songs for astronauts on space missions. They have often been known to play this song loudly when a space shuttle is due for arrival (along with "Hold Back The Rain" if the weather is poor). source:wikipedia

I had to stretch both of these into top tens. Great topic, HaydenAsche.

it indeed is an EP. This was actually the first CD that I ever purchased.
And it fucked my brain for good.

"Permanent Daylight" is one of the most brilliant songs that I've ever heard.

HaydenAsche 09.26.2006 01:09 PM

Oh, I know. I love that cd. For some reason, Target here in town has about 6 copies of it right now.

SuchFriendsAreDangerous 09.27.2006 01:05 PM

my favorite EP is from Civil Disobedience. i wish it would eventually make it on cd or at least cassette...

LittlePuppetBoy 10.01.2006 05:50 PM

Nervous Breakdown-Black Flag

Пятхъдесят Шест 10.01.2006 05:56 PM

I think it's been rereleased or something to that effect... music world here has tons of them. I've been meaning to pick it up...

Cantankerous 10.01.2006 08:06 PM

ooh ooh oh.

Norma J 10.01.2006 08:25 PM

Shit, Cantankerous, you love that band, don't you?

Rhetorical question.

Cantankerous 10.01.2006 08:28 PM
