Actually, on a serious note, if anyone ever cares to give me a Photoshop tutorial, I'd be greatly appreciative. I have to do some publication thingies, and every time I try to figure out Photoshop I have mini-seizures.

Those are DTs.

I'm trying to make fliers, and I want to cut images from one photo/flier and paste them onto another. Dodge tool? Magic wand? Lasso? Fuckin' techies. |
Have you got both images open?
|
Not right now, I'm not at home.
I do the fliers themselves on Microsoft Publisher, but you can't edit images within that program. I steal things off the interweb (shhhh), but sometimes I just want to cut a portion of the image, and I haven't figured out how to do that. Sorry for hijacking your thread, dudewithsuperlongscreenname. Anyhow, if anyone ever wants to give me an interactive tutorial in their spare time on teh Yahoo or MSN, I will worship you for life. |
Well I don't know how much this will help for your specific purpose, but if you open one image in photoshop, copy another and paste that one onto the first image, it will become a layer. Meaning you can erase parts of the pasted image and reveal what is behind it on the background image you pasted it onto. You can also move the copied image around and make as many layers as you want with different things. With a little creativity, that alone can get a lot done, and it's extremely simple. But I don't know of any tutorials. I just use trial and error.
|
But how do you 'cleanly' erase things you don't want on there?
I'll ask this question in another thread. |

Wow, thanks for turning the best thread ever into the most boring thread ever.
Love, Daycare |
Actually, THIS would be the stronger contender for most boring thread ever, Mr. Here's-What-I-Had-For-Lunch...
|
Savage, why settle on just one? There are dozens.
|
Yeah, but that one was from today, so it rose to the top of the heap due to Freshness.

Nothing he posts is fresh.
|

I think this may be of more use to him.

Actually that is way more funny and interesting than droning on and on about the technicalities of photoshop. |
"Interesting" is a purely subjective term. This thread contained a modicum of educational content at least, not to mention apologies for hijacking.
|
I can't help but to comment on the sheer temerity of 30-something year old Daycare Nation's Stanley Kubrick/American Government/International Scientific Community/Japanese Electronic Consumer Goods Conglomerate/American Entertainment Industry amalgamated conspiracy quilt-like patchwork. Blanket-like it envelopes most of known civilization and renders it completely and utterly without any meaning whatsoever. You are brave. You are courageous. You have fortitude. Planet Earth and the Human Race salute you, Daycare Nation.

Neither? ... Drinking is so overrated. Smoking just blows.
