I voted LibDem. Not that I have a particular allegiance to that party though.

The first and last widely broadcasted debate was given today on national French TV.
8 parties were invited (there are 23 lists more or less).
I'll be voting this sunday, I'm still torn between two lists. We can't pick here and there, alas.

I would have voted Green if not LibDem but I recently heard on the radio that in recent opinion polls the LibDems are higher that both Labour and Conservatives so tactical voting helped me decide.

If when the results are out and you hear anything about any BNP (British Natonal Party) members getting any seats just think "fascist racists" and you'll get a rough idea of their policies.

I can see the BNP doing well in certain local elections, but not the euro one. The constituencies are too broad. the BNP seems to be more popular within very small boroughs.

Yea I think you're right. I'm not too worried about them in general anyway. If they were ever to get into power there would be rioting.

They'll never get control of parliament but they have won local council seats in the past. They aren't a national threat but they are a local one.

Supposedly Geert Wilder's far-right 'Freedom Party' are looking like they could come second in the Netherlands' Euro election. That won't happen here but it is a bit of an eye-opener.

with the predicted abstention rate, there will probably be more surprises alike.

Yeah, an eye opener. Though I think the situation is different there. I think they have been letting in more immigrants than Britain which is bound to increase racist feelings. But yeah, it's something to watch with how this could affect the EU, whether it is a representation of what could happen here or not.

Look. The social democratics in here are a complete disaster (currently leading party). The opposition rightwing parties are okay, though their particular candidates for Europarliament are not worth giving a vote because of their political past and mistakes they'd done. So, no, I am boycotting this one.

Exactly! You should always vote even if it is just to get the the lesser evil into power. Surely that's better than being apathetic and letting the greater evil take control?
