I think you've reached the age where age difference doesn't matter much anymore. Obviously 3 years is a big difference when one person is 13 and the other is 10, or 17 and 14, because those are formative years and a lot goes on in them. By now 3 years either way for you is A-OK legally and morally, I suppose, but is it a good idea? Some 17 year olds have their heads screwed on properly and some are still fools. Work out which one you have, age is no longer an issue anymore. Personally I don't think anyone should be allowed to be in a relationship until they are 35, but you know, that's just me.

yeah, crypto, i encourage the talking just so you both understand where both of your capacities lie in terms of being able to communicate how far you'd want to take a relationship, if you both want to go down that route.

Well this seems to induce a mathematical paradox if you're less than 14, see:

(13 / 2) + 7 = 13.5

Which means that you're forced to date people that are older than you. It's kind of a problem if you're only 3: (3 / 2) + 7 = 8.5

And I'm sure a lot of less than 10 year old people wanna have sex, so your formula sounds like the open door for legal paedophilia :eek::eek::eek: you are crazy acoustic!! crazy!! :eek:

Oh right. I forgor to include the disclaimer: People under 14 should not date.

We can't have 1 year olds dating 7 1/2 year olds.

But anyway, the equation would have to work in both directions. Someone who's 13 would need to date someone older, but the older person would need someone older as well. Thus, the relationship implodes and jail time is issued. It works itself out.
