Irrational fears
 

I'd have to say that mine would be spiders, various creepy paranormal beings that most likely don't exist, tornadoes even though they're awesome, and creepy little girls crawling out of my television.

List yours, and we can all be paranoid freaks together!

I'm way more afraid of centipedes than spiders, which I think is weird. They're basically the same thing, but centipedes scare the shit out of me. They're more poisonous, I think.




I'll have more fears when I get back from class. Good topic, though.

The last time i saw one for real i cried for over 30 mins after.

centipedes turn me into a whimpering little girl.

i don't think i'm really seriously afraid of anything but i am very, very squeamish.

I always thought it was millipedes that were poisonous.
Either way, one of them is, and the other isn't.


I guess that means I'm fucked.

And sometimes my imagination can get the best of me. At least in the dark. And I get scared shitless.

okay no. i forgot. there is one thing that i am afraid of more than anything.

also, big dogs.

Millipedes are harmless. I used to own a huge foot-long one as a pet, and I don't even think they can break skin. A centipede that long would paralyze you.

Speaking of spiders, I used to live in this shitty duplex here in FL pretty damn close to the woods, and these huge brown recluses used to crawl through the vents. I'm talking the size of your fist. I'd have to kill at least 3 a day with hairspray and a shovel.

Anyway, one day I woke up to about 5 on my ceiling and walls (one was like less than a foot away from me) and I freaked the fuck out. Never again am I living near woods.

i used to be completely hysterical over spiders, now i get scared or whatever of tarantulas, scorpions and the like only.

Praying mantises are awesome. Finding them is like finding a $20 bill.

Oh yeah, I'm also afraid of scorpions.
I conveniently found on chilling out on my kitchen floor the other day. No joke.

I don't consider scorpians irrational. One of the most painful stings possible is quite a rational thing to be afraid of.

Dogs fucking hate me. And I swear I'm a good person. They just do.

Puppies are cute, but I HATE little dogs. They're so goddamn annoying with their pompous I own the fucking world attitude and their constant yipping. I call them kick-me dogs.

Yeah. I was gonna say sharks (which I do have an absolute dread of, and which makes it difficult for me to swim at beaches). But while being eatern by a shark is unlikely, it's possible. So I suppose what I have is a rational fear of sharks, taken to an irrational level.

Yeah shark attacks and planes crashes are those two fears that you can't really argue with, but they're never gonna happen. Though I love planes.

i don't like little dogs either. but i'm terrified of rottweilers, probably because i've nearly been mauled by one and knocked to the ground twice

Shark attacks are almost likely here. But manowars/bluebottles are where it's at.

I have very delicate balls. I like rats, though.

Needles. I'm deathly afraid of needles. And things involving eyes. I about threw up when I went to an optometrist and he put that pressure thing on my eye. Groooosssss.

i never did understand why people are afraid of needles. THAT is irrational.


i'm afraid of being cold. i don't know why. i always wear long sleeves.

It probably has something to do with past experiences, at least on my part.
I've had quite a number of blood tests, and the nurses can never get my veins to stay still so they always dig around in my arm and leave huge bruises and it hurts like hell.
As for IV needles... I've woken up after being drugged for a few hours with blood all over my arm from an IV.

I guess mine isn't so irrational anymore.

they need to get ex junkies in there, those dumbass nurses can't ever find a vein.

It's not that difficult to understand.They occasionally make people faint. Duh!

My girlfriend had a chihuahua which I babysat for much of the beginning of the year. She was too small to walk so I had to literally carry her everywhere. I loved that little bastard and miss her far more than I do my girlfriend.
