I really like them. The Life Pursuit is one of my favorites, though some sites have said it's only average. Tigermilk is their best.

For some reason, Belle & Sebastian put a bug right up my ass. Can't stand the sound of 'em. Maybe I had a traumatic experience when they were playing.

I used to love them.....I haven't listened to them in awhile and I hear their post-Peasant albums kind of sucked. They were pretty good live too.

I have too many cds and I only listen to about 20 regularly. I've listened to them all once. the Life Pursuit hasn't grown on me but it probably will if I give it another spin.

boy with the arab strap is deffinetly their best. fold your hands child is terrific too. the rest are ok and they're pretty damn good live

this tour of theirs has been really solid. 8 people on stage interacting flawlessly. Thw Wiltern show was so good. Their albums are so ornate and they recreate that sound to a T.
Even the instore at Amoeba Records LA was fly.
In July they're playing the Hollywood Bowl with the LA Philharmonic backing them.

I didn't go to see them (obviously), but they got a few shitty reviews of their recent show in Chicago.

Yup, if I can find them again. They are a few days old.

By the way, I'm not trashing people who like Belle & Sebastian. They're just not my personal taste.

I'll look for them online tomorrow and post them. There were I think two bad reviews of the show, and one pre-show slam. But again, these are all subjective opinions. If you dig them, have at it!

A long time ago i dreamt that i could sing like Stuart. The dream was absolutley wonderful, and to wake up and realise that i was nothing but a guitarplayer was extremly painful. I cried for weeks.

I have a soft spot for good twee pop. Not a bad band, I listen to their albums more often than I'd probably care to admit.

they're good but they get a little bit stale sometimes. I can only take so much of Belle and Sebastion at one time.

God help me. My indierific friend Chris made me listen to B&S when we were roommates and gave me several of their albums. I used to listen to Catastrophe Waitress while I was teaching drivers ed. I like The Life Pursuit. Arrrrgh.

Their best two albums, hands down. Tigermilk is probably the best first record a band ever put out.
