This could be our argument. All couples have their little pet argument which they find endearing and everybody else finds fucking annoying.

So it's béchamel sauce made with meat drippings. Sounds bloody revolting.

I can't wait to complain about how absolutely disgusting the concept of *biscuits and gravy* is while in the US.

biscuits, no.

misc animal lard goo, no.

seriously no. That shit is not coming within 10 ft of me. I just don't get it, everything else thatcomes from the country is so ludicrously indulgent and tasty(bad for you maybe, but tasty) and still..... dough and goo.

maybe I'd like it if I liked eating animalness.
maybe I'll look and or sniff.
but probably not.

Oooo, are we talking about our favorite breakfasts?

Eggs Benedict.

I think biscuits and gravy fall into the general midwestern category of "comfort food." Certainly the U.S. doesn't own the market on comfort food but what we have is almost designed to stucco one's arteries.

California food, however, I would say is decidedly anti-indulgent, which might be indulgent in another sense. Salads and water. Woo.

I could talk for years. Breakfast is my favourite meal.

top5: (all combined with a nice strong skim/soy latte)

toatsed croissant with avocado, grilled mushroom and fresh basil. prosciutto too if I'm feeling the need for meat (once in a blue moon)

fluffy buttermilk pancakes with mixed fruit and berries (specifically, apple, pineapple, blueberries, blackberries, cinamon and star anise), and cream on top

green french toast(add in finely chipped spinach, garlic, and basil to the eggs) and cooked baby mushrooms on top.

scrambled eggs with chilli and avocado on nice thick rye toast.

crepes with bananas and cream/caramel sauce.

yeas.

I want breakfast now. :(

really fresh vegies in the right combos are just as indulgent to me.. but water, meh. I'm a fruit smoothie or juice girl.

I have an obsession with shredded carrot and balsamic/olive oil. just as it is. :( maybe some rocket/salad leaves, but just a few.

I've seen those sometimes at the rock collecting store/witchypoo shop. That's neat that they most likely are from okie. so pretty.

Revolting food. They gave me a marmite cereal bar yesterday, I was so hungry I tried to eat it. One bite that I´ll never forget. It tasted like licking infection, not that I have done that, but I am sure.

knox 03.13.2010 05:37 AM

and yes, i'd love one of those?
