I've worn shorts outside of the house less than 5 times in the last 3 years.

i get out in skirts or dresses quite often but my skin is destined to stay pale.

Sonic Youth 37 07.23.2009 06:26 PM

I'm not super pale and my tans fade very, very, very slowly. So like one week in the sun per 2 years is enough to keep me from looking like some Transylvania Count.

wow you're so right, how did you know?

i'm all pale by the way. i did get a slight tan after getting a sunburn at the seaside but it's all gone already.

I believe that only a dozen of you fiends out there know anything of merit about hot sauce.

Sonic Youth 37 07.23.2009 06:29 PM

Milk is the only way to neutralize the active 'spicy' (capsaicin)ingredient in chili-based products/food.

ploesj 07.23.2009 06:30 PM

true, you need something fat to neutralize spicy things, water doesn't help because it washes all the fat away even more and makes the effects stronger.

Shifty Prophet 07.23.2009 06:32 PM

Chili, schmili. I'm coming at my food habanero, jalapeno, wasabi, cayenne pepper strong!

Sonic Youth 37 07.23.2009 06:33 PM

Real wasabi is very rare and most 'wasabi' in paste form is just colored horseradish.

Mustard's spiciness goes on a curve from how long it is steeped in water before added vinegar, 0-15 minutes. 15 minutes being the peak of hotness. The temperature of water also has an effect, colder water produces a spicier mustard.

Not if you buy it from Japan, which I have, and yes it is very different from the wasabi most western eastern eateries one would frequent.
