nice, I'm on the Tyskie's again.... pretty much the same thing. Polish beer rules! |
At this moment in time, I'm drinking Kronenbourg 1664.

God, you guys need some help in the beer taste department. Kronenbourg? Blech.

Um... 10 points (out of 100) on Rate Beer. Dude, there's better beer. Seriously.

I still like it. |

I've never seen that for sale anywhere... I'll look out for it though. Polish beers are everywhere here and very cheap (and strong) Zubr, Warka and Lech are others that I see all the time. |

Nothing wrong with Kronenbourg 1664 |
Kronenbourg is lovely for a larger
|
Kronenbourg is pretty foul. Then again so are most European lagers.

I really don't get the whole quality thing with lager. So long as it's about 5% I really can't taste the difference. I'm the same with cigarettes. I'll smoke the cheapest I can find. Except Marlboro Lights, which give me a headache. I'll still smoke them though, if that's all there is. |
as if now, this is the greatest beer I have ever enjoyed. Bursting with floral hops but perfectly balanced to be both sweet and bitter like good coffee. Perfect head and texture, strong alcohol but hardly detectable in the flavor only in the buzz. a luxurious beer.. and Mendocino Brewery Red Tail Ale is consistently in my top 3!! ![]() Drank some of these recently, also very good, tasty, a bit strong. ![]() Someone gave me these, not bad. Decent flavor, nice texture, a better spiced winter ale than an imitation beer like a shocktop or bluemoon. I used to be really into spiced beer but lately its good Belgian ales and American pale lagers hence my usual go too ![]() |

It all tastes like fizzy piss to me. Not that I've ever tasted fizzy piss. Guinness is my drink of choice. Probably as far from lager as you can get in a beer. |
@suchfreinds. Rolling Rock is basically my favorite beer to drink on the weekends. Fucking cheap and delicious.

Have you ever tried a dark lager? http://www.calvors.co.uk/lager/dark-lager.php |

I love them. They're much better than the British/Australian/American lagers that I've drunk in the past. I'm talking about San Miguel, Peroni, Heineken, Becks etc. |

Agree! Most of them are skunky smelling and bland tasting at best. The only decent European lager I've had are a few German pilsners, like Bitburger. |

Agreed but such is a matter of taste as with all beer. A lot of Central Americans really dig that Euro style and so they also produce those metallic tasting Heinekin tasting beers, like eating out a chick with a yeast infection if you ask me, but then again, some people are freak-a-lic like that ;) For me Pilsner is the way to go for German beers that aren't Bavarian ales, though sometimes I can handle a St Pauly Girl, the mellowest of the Euro lagers. I prefer Belgian styles, while England has some truly delightful ales, Brits have a taste for bitter malts which I'm less into. I like Bass but I'd prefer a great Mendocino or New Belgian ale any day of the week. I do like these exceptionally well also, but they are still a bit bitter and way to expensive sometimes even for special occasion drinking ![]() Quote:

Fucking cockneys and your pisswater. I'm bereft of decent ales of late. I had something quite nice - tart and dry - a few weeks ago, but couldn't tell you the name. All a bit piss around here. Bloody mockneys. |
