How about the conversation between the lady 'simply agreeable' and the lady 'agreeable in all respects', in chapter 9?

I tried to find the book yesterday at B&N and the guy at the counter looked at me weird when I asked him to look it up for me. I'll try another store later this week.

i confess i got stuck in chapter 6 as
a) i left town
b) i had work to do
c) the world cup ate my homework

i'm looking forward to read again though. but this week is hell-- much catching up to do! though i could squeeze it now that the board is, hm, a bit unattractive...

Interesting choice of words. Though it would seem better sounding if you were able to describe it in a more Gogolian (eh?) way. Considering the thread.
