They all look the same to me. :D |
"SAVED!", a new record by Reverend Kristin Michael Heyter. Seems stripped down, and a departure from her previous works as Lingua Ignota. "ALL OF MY FRIENDS ARE GOING TO HELL" resonates with me; and so I've just pre-ordered the cassette tape.

From the archival department:
Gareth Liddiard - The Bootlick Series Volume 1 (Live 2006-2016) (out now, available from Bandcamp; no physical edition, I believe) Joni Mitchell - Archives, Vol. 3: The Asylum Years (1972- 1975) (October 6) Prince - Diamonds & Pearls: Remastered & Expanded (October 27) These people think I'm made of money. |
En Août 2023 et toujours pas de nouveaux? Ou bien c'est moi qui suis mal informé?

Another one from the archives: because apparently the 20th Anniversary Edition wasn't enough, here comes In Utero's Super Deluxe 30th Anniversary Edition.
https://www.uncut.co.uk/news/nirvana...boxset-143662/ All 53 (!) previously unreleased tracks appear to be live versions, so no unearthed studio gems for you. |
Abstract Concrete (Charles Hayward's new band) - Abstract Concrete (November 17)
ETA: For £51.00 (plus shipping, which can't be pretty), you can get the LP plus the CD actually "encased in concrete, must be broken to be heard". True story. 51 copies only. Jesus. |

TRY IT really a limping junky from a teevee show for abuelitas is not the best war flag in the world, is it? is that like, a couch potato's idea of life? also, what's with the "slaps"? lmao. can't throw a punch? but really, cut it out with the slaps. it's embarrassing, come on. -- eta: you could instead try something TRULY SCARY, like this ![]() to have me quaking in my boots or something, whatever. "house" sucks. network tv, lol. -- anyway, i hate that song the way rob hates gordon lightfooot. unfuckinglistenable. if saint chan fixes it for me it will be a true miracle. the track i look forward to the most is like a rolling stone. now that one was already great, and in her hands... |

There are barely any demos for In Utero (a couple of unfinished instrumental sessions from 1992 and the Brazilian session where they were all off their tits) and they've already released them anyway - the two new soundboards should be a lot of fun, hopefully. |

In that scene he was saying it to the patient, a woman who had just thanked God for saving her. Stop overreacting, kid, or I will punch you. ;):) |
Mexican psychedelia is alive and well. The following are two favourites from this year:
-Lorelle Meets the Obsolete's "Datura": https://obsoletelorelle.bandcamp.com/album/datura -Mirror Revelations' "Aura": https://mirrorrevelations.bandcamp.com/album/aura |

I saw her last year. Yes her covers are fantastic, though I wish she wouldn't treat her own material like a cover. She improvises the melody to the point of it being unrecognisable |

...which is more or less the same thing Dylan does. |
I just want to hear that beautiful Metal Heart melody

I've seen Cat Power live too many times on the same tour (with the Delta Blues Band that was, for her Jukebox album tour). Since then I don't want to see her with a band anymore. It just gets too boring and it all sounds like the same song, even though I love her music and she had Jim White on drums.
Anyway, I visited The Ex's site, and saw this news flash. So perhaps a new album by the end of the year?: Quote:

Chan is such an interesting live experience, I recall it's been 20 years since I first saw her at the 930 Club and a certain !@#$%! drunk and yelling song requests at her |

what an utter !@#$%! indeed! :D |
I like the new Eye of The Amarylis record, it's a band with the guy from People Skills if they means anything to you. Has a bit of a Chocolate Monk vibe abd is as good as people skills in my book.
