FYI, that stinky Birthday Song is not representative of the Rising Down album. There's a reason it was left as an online bonus track. The actual album is free of it's hideousness.

Siamese Dream and Mellon Collie are just so good, so I LOVE Smashing Pumpkins. However, they suck now and Billy Corgan's a douche, so I also hate them.

i feel hate for billy corgan but every now i then, i listen to geek usa and it kinda goes away

I pretty much loathe Smashing Pumpkins, but I still consider "Gish" and "Lull" to be fantastic recordings. For me, it was all down hill after that. "Siamese Dream" is pretty good, too. I can usually seperate personality from artistic output whether it be filmmakers, musicians, actors, writers, or whatever, but Billy Corgan is such a douchebag that I can rarely enjoy listening to those early albums.

Gish, imo, is their best too. Then SD, I found Lull to be dull, even though it's like Gish. It's just not nearly as good.

So according to that, Chamberlain was the asshole. No wonder he and Billy stuck together for so long.

I just picked up the jimmy Chamberlin Complex. It is actually really good. It would be a SP record without Billy whining. He is on one track.

There is denying Chamberlin's skills. For those that can't stand rock drumming anymore Jimmy is a welcome relief...

I bought a James Iha solo album. It was very boring. It was almost all acoustic.

It's a bad album. Not as bad as Billy's solo album though.

I'd probably download a 'best of'.
