^this was pretty good. Not great. Lots of stories though. Sev or other DC fans might enjoy it more than I did. My favorite stuff was the wraparound Harley stuff, and then there was a really nice Flash story with a lot of heart. But a lot of this special didn't do much for me... maybe because it focused on a lot of DC characters that I'm not really familiar with.



And of y'all read The Pulse? I read vol 1 last night and it's awesome. Basically Jessica Jones X Spider-Man.

...well, I read that JL V SS issue #1. I liked it. Nothing earth-shattering, but I liked it.

I got a lot of comics for Christmas.

I'm also not sure what to eat tonight. We have some leftover chicken soup (home made) but it's not really enough for both of us. And some left over ham from Christmas. Could make sandwiches, but we only have these small rolls.

We've got frozen mac n cheese and frozen burritos in the freezer. So I don't know. Mix & match. I guess.

We call that "Golden Girls" dinner - when you just take out all the leftovers and stuff you forgot was in the fridge and kind of eat buffet style.

i would have made the unfrozen burritos w/ fried eggs and a good hot sauce. joaquín swears by valentina but i prefer crystal. or: spicy ketchup (mix 2 sauces blam). spicy ketchup is great w/ fried eggs. like in a fried egg sammich.

anyway hotdogs are tasty but they have the same nutrition as a strip of bacon-- 3g protein and the rest is fat.

so i'd throw some eggs in there when possible. or a steak.

i like a hot dog egg scramble, good stuff.

try the currywurst also (it's the wurst!). no, really, tasty stuff-- ketchup + curry. it's a german thing, but works in dawgs too.

i don't think i've ever had a coney island dog. gotta try them this summer maybe.

It's something I'll never stop doing, but I'm not actively doing it now. I have a few issues loaded up on my iPad from Batman: Rebirth, and I left off at a key moment in a man arc involving Bane and Psycho Pirate that I was really into, so I'll get back into it soon.

Also, Superman. Same story. Have backissues on the pad, just waiting for the right time to read them.

I'm thinking of subscribing to MARVEL's on-demand service (forget what it's called) because I just re-watched Civil War and it made me want to dig into some Cap stuff I missed.

Also, I don't know if this really counts, but I did read the first volume of the BLEACH manga a little while ago. I loved BLEACH before it got shitty (last arc), and I think it's an excellent supernatural superhero story, so I'm probably going to move forward with volume 2.

I have been reading so much and updating my blog accordingly.

You should read I Am Gotham and then skip to I am Suicide. Don't leave the first arc of a new reboot out. It's good, and the climax is powerful. Plus it ties in with everything that follows. Not a great time to jump around, Rebirth.

I know I should... but I probably won't. I *might* go back and read the I Am Suicide stuff, but... I'm juggling reading so many series right now, man. And you know DC isn't as high on my list. I already dropped Justice League Vs Suicide Squad after two issues.

Actually my favorite DC series currently is Supergirl: Being Super which is a mini-series outside of the main Supergirl series.

Just ordered Batman 11-14 from Forbidden Planet.

Man I can't believe you aren't going to read I am Gotham/Suicide. It's like... dude. It takes me maybe 5 minutes to read an issue. Sometimes more. Point is, even if I hate them, they're over before I know it.

And I would think that as a Bat-fan, the cover of that issue with Bane standing behind Bats looking crazy and prison rapey would be enough to keep you cookin'. That's a great cover! Oh well.
