Yeah, the Dead were a really good improv psych-rock band who managed to attract this following of desperate morons who badly needed a religion to hold their life together. Rarely has a band been brought down so much by their audience.

People at my school who are into things like death metal (don't know specific band names), and if you don't like death metal, it's because "you can't handle hardcore/brutal things, and only listen to soft stuff."
