Actually, I kinda like that song. At least compared to anything by Nickelback.

I'm SO glad that I haven't had a class song since the 6th grade...and that I forget whatever horrible melody that one was....

The only obvious graduation song that does not completely tick me off would have to be Everybody's Free to Wear Sunscreen.

pinkstation 08.20.2009 11:07 AM

My fucking shit CLAS SONG was goddamned UNCHAINED MELODY
because the fucking thing was in the movie GHOST.

that song was like my MOM's graduation song!!!!! what a shit song

Rob Instigator 08.20.2009 11:21 AM

best country song ever is devil went down to georgia

SONIC GAIL 08.20.2009 11:23 AM

My class song was Boys to Men ya know that dumb one theyuse to play about memories puke....Devil went down is a pretty close competitor

Glice 08.20.2009 11:40 AM

Look, you bunch of useless fucktards, 'Devil went down to Georgia' is only just, at a squeeze, a country song. There's no way in hell it's the best. Your mother does not sing better than Dolly. And anyone found hating Dolly really needs to re-assess the necessity of oxygen in their diet.

Did she write them? I was under the impression that country singers, especially back then, didn't write anything.

Rob Instigator 08.20.2009 11:41 AM

true

best country song is a tie between Crazy and There's a Tear In My Beer

hahaha!

Glice 08.20.2009 11:42 AM

Dolly's written a lot. She's covered a lot as well, but she's quite prolific as a writer. Same as Willie Nelson, who was a staff writer before he was 'Willie Nelson'. There's a lot of people like Loretta or Patsy who wrote very little/ nothing, but Dolly isn't one of them dumb blondes (you see what I did there?)

pinkstation 08.20.2009 11:45 AM

going to see WILLIE, neil young, and wilco at farm aid soon.

really really REALLY a shame that i might have to endure a set of dave matthews band band that day though...

I had a free ticket for Willie that I couldn't go to. One of those regrets I'll carry with me to my grave.

Nah, you're worse than playing Lou Reed's ''Magic and Loss'' very loud while living next door to someone with life-threatening cancer.

It's a bluegrass tuning on that song. Which is to say, I wouldn't say it's a country tune.

I know Country uses Bluegrass tunings from time-to-time. Our Ma does the best version of thisyou'll ever hear, but that by no means means she's a McEvoy.

Well, the main thing to remember is that it's the internet, I don't care, and fuck off.
