They are both excellent, however I would shy away from any comparison. They both hold very different connotations.
i thought it was hilarious. i like the way the maid was in charge of booking 'the sonic youths' and 'they might show up'.
Complete sonic blasphemy, Mike. Yet you are forgiven.
good acoustic version. there's not much to that song though..
and don't miss the reunited Live Skull on the season finale of How I Met Yr Mother

the best parts too! |
Did anybody notice Antenna being played for quite a while half way through the episode? Or did everybody skip to the end missing all the name dropping and how the married couple know SY.
yeah, skipped to the end (well, actually the link i used just went straight to the end)
I'm guessing nobody got their Starpower shirt/poster yet?
will take the usual fuckin 4-6 weeks for me...
Can someone please tell me if there's a lossless version of this song available anywhere?
yep, the digital download from the STORE section of this very site is a .WAV file. (welcome to the board!)
edit: at least ordering the poster they gave a download link for the WAV version, I think it's the same if you "buy" just the digital download, despite the generic FAQ sayin' :- "Digital downloads through Kung Fu Stores are all created using iTunes software, using AAC encoding, to create 256kbps files. They should import easily into iTunes, or any other current audio file management software." |
My package just arrived. Aces.

this is just a teaser from a project to song-by-song remake of all their pre-geffen work done in a variety of late 19th and early 20th acoustic styles, ranging from call and response worksongs accompanied by woodchopping, piedmont style mountain string bands, bluegrass styles specific to particular counties in Kentucky, ragtime piano, diddley bows built onto the sides of shacks, accappella gospel, dixieland jazz, chorales and lullabyes. the NPR audience is gonna eat that shit up, SY is the next Garrison Keilor...

Can't wait for my poster. I got it really early. Hoping for SINGLE DIDGITZ! Did you guys get the t-shirt too?
Yah, whole bundle.
is the shirt worth it? Might be one of those rare ones you see the cool kids wear at concerts ten years from now, huh?
Quote:
i think i was the first to order this, they didn't even have the bundle offer when i placed my order. |

I would say it's worth it. Will it one day be as cool as the Traci Lords shirt? Only time (and cool kids) will tell. |
I love that pic (and had no idee Lee took it, dunno why), but I don't like it on a shirt...so only the poster for me!
Hmm yeah, I think I'm with nicfit here... It could look awesome on the shirt when I get it in my hands, but for now the poster seems like a better alternative.

the postman just delivered this, mine is #26 :p the t-shirt looks better than i thought it would, really need to get some frames now the poster is very nice. |
I envy you guys.
I don't even remember how big it is, but I will definitely buy a frame for it. Will put it next to my x-ray man. |
the poster is 17.5" x 21.5"
