I quit in 7th grade for pretty much the same reasons and because the band instructor wouldn't let me play the drum set that just always sat there.....focker.


I drank a ton of rum last night, but I'm not that hungover. I guess that turkey samich really helped me out last night.

I stayed in band to spite the coaches who all wanted me to play sports because of my height and build. It was like a "fuck you, I'm gonna be arty instead" to them and all the idiot h.s. jocks. But I also HATED playing in marching band in support of sports events. I used to just pretend to play at those things, and I'd purposely march out of step.
