It's such a shame what someone with talent has to go through these days to get noticed. If you want to make it big these days multi-platinum you've got have a gimmick. Those You Tubes before the GAGA shows just how talented she is but she has to resort to the clothes, the makeup etc. to get really noticed.

These days? Really? Pop gimmicks have been around since before pop was a real thing. Bear in mind that the Ink Spots - the biggest selling artists in the world at a time before anyone on this board was born - used barbershop as their gimmick.

I finally got round to listening to the Fame Monster today. It's a brilliant album. A bit long, but mostly great tunes. It's pretty shocking that I've taken so long to get round to it, but I'm glad I did.
