yesterday thurston came by to lay down some hot licks on a couple of tracks and sing too! soooo bitchin'! we squeegeed the universe's brain. and he blew my mind by letting me borrow an original manic panic richard hell t shirt from the 70's. he said he found it in some weird record shop in the 90's, and it turned out to be just my size. so amazing!!!! i'm never going to take it off.

we're getting closer and closer everyday. john only has to play guitar on three more songs. i've got a little bit of a cold right now, so i have to take a break from singing. bummer! when we get time during the day (and permission from john) we write and practice for our new band. it's just john on drums and me on guitar and both of us singing. total troggs rock but way more damaged.

Half of these tapes were on Nace’s merch table when he toured cross the USA with Daniel Higgs this past April. Those are sold out but we got the rest with less than 100 available. Primo kill.

Made in USA reissue probably the most unexpected reissue ever

yeah, does anyone have any info on that yet?

I asked T. about that when the band came to Santiago. He said he had no idea, he also said that a DVD release of screaming fields...was in progress and he was excited about that. I hope both items are being considered to be released soon!!!

I think that Steve and Aaron usually take care of the reissues. Maybe that is why Thurston did not have any info about it.

Btw, I dont have enough time to update the list in this thread. It would be great if one of you (noisereductions? stu?) could do it .

Is this Lee solo album actually going to have songs on it? ("a handful of songs have been written" it said.) doesn't it seem more likely that the next of Lee's albums would be noise records like all his other work outside sonic youth so far?

A songs album is in the works but according to a recent Lee interview it is not likely to be finished soon.
