Hip Priest 11.05.2006 07:37 PM

Onani Nic 11.05.2006 07:39 PM

Think a sentence of death by autoerotic-asphyxiation might have raised a few eyebrows.

jon boy 11.06.2006 07:50 AM

if it was televised, would you watch?

It's called Asphyxiaphilia. The practice is also known as "breath play" in the context of a sadomasochistic relationship, or auto-erotic asphyxiation when practiced alone in a masturbatory act.

jon boy 11.06.2006 10:16 AM

you know its not suicide when they have lemon in their mouth apparantly. i learnt that from six feet under.

porkmarras 11.06.2006 10:25 AM

All those names are correct but i'm thinking about how it was referred to by this guy i've overheard talking about it once.It was some silly slang term that apparently does the rounds on the the gay scene.Either way,it's a vile sexual practice.

im against capital punishment in general. this spectacle, believe me, will not make anything better. there are a lot of people in iraq who still think saddam is a national hero, and they are only going to be further inflamed at these news.

Savage Clone 11.06.2006 01:19 PM

I don't really see a lot of "punishment" in quickly killing someone who basically has nothing left to live for anyway.

!@#$%! 11.06.2006 01:22 PM

the whole ideology of "punishment" is a retarded backward thing that keeps creating monsters year after year.

Well, I'm not sure that "rehabilitation" is all that applicable in cases like this.

"I'm all better now. I'll never become a sadistic dictator with my own country and my own army again, I swear."

!@#$%! 11.06.2006 01:29 PM

oh, i was not suggesting rehabilitation for this former CIA thug.

just that the whole notion that "he should be punished" is as useless as it is myopic. what is it supposed to accomplish, i'm not sure.

static-harmony 11.06.2006 02:06 PM

Well if he can't be punished to death or in a prison cell, then how shall he be punished.

jon boy 11.06.2006 02:08 PM

be naomi campbells publicist?

please explain to me why a person "shall be punished" for their crimes, and what "punishment" means, and what it accomplishes.

static-harmony 11.06.2006 02:12 PM

A person should be punished because they deserve, it simple as that. As for what punishment they deserve it depends on where they are and how that culture punishes people. It also gives people who lost lives some closure.

that's a knee-jerk response if i ever saw one. what does it mean to "deserve" punishment, exactly? i'm not saying saddam should go free. i'm just asking you to look beyond the automatic response into why we think the way we do about these things, and figure out if it makes sense.

here's a little background reading on the subject.
