"Valley Of The Dolls." I felt I should see this movie sometime during my life, and now I know I really didn't have to. HATED IT SO MUCH!

eureka yes

just read this interview. is jodorowsky full of shit or attempting to be funny? how much of this do you think is for real?..for anyone interested, though its probably a tl;dr for most. here 'tis.....http://www.subcin.com/jod01.html

Adam it's funny you mention Philippe Grandrieux. I just began to download La Vie Nouvelle, and I haven't seen any of the man's work before.
|
![]() I liked it and thought the 3-D added to the overall experience. I didn't understand any of the change from the book especially the addition of Wybie. That character was just dead weight, it seemed to me. |

James Bond - You Only Live Twice
I'm not too sure. I think I watched all of it, but I could be wrong. It was very James Bond, as far as I could tell. |

Read all this a long time ago. Brilliant stuff. Listen to his commentaries, specifically the one for Holy Mountain. Dude's a genius. |

friday the 13th remake - 2/10
|
man I have not seen you give a 2/10 in a LOOOONG time.

That bad ah? I'm actually more tempted to see it now. I'd rather see a 2/10 film than a 5/10 one; bad always being preferable to bland. |
Marty.
I honestly never get tired of it. |
Well, the Friday the 13th remake... I guess 13 people die in it. They all mainly die by stabbing. Lots of deaths but not really "violent", if that makes sense. Filmed like a music video of course. Lots of quick cutting and that digital grain look. Not "scary", no suspense whatsoever, completely forgettable characters.. even the old Friday the 13th films, in their worst form (part 5), had a great atmosphere.. this has NOTHING.

regarding eureka:
Jim O'Rourke actually named his album after the Nic Roeg film "Eureka", which was from 1980. However, the Japanese film Eureka (which is the best 3 hours and 44 minutes of film I've probably ever seen!), which came out in 2001, actually uses the song "eureka" from the album "eureka"... by Jim O'Rourke. If that makes sense. |

My GOD! If there's a more infuriating, missing-the-point-entirely invention in the history of film, i've yet to see it. Hateful. |
