Stage of the Art: These New Puritans + Zombie Zombie + Nelson
http://www.ica.org.uk/thumbnail.php?max=408&id=2474 These New Puritans. Photo: Frederico Pellachin, turquoiseboy.org 11 July 2008 These New Puritans are joined on stage by two bands from the emerging French scene, part of Stage of the Art, the unprecedented music collaboration between the ICA and Palais de Tokyo in Paris. This is our final rendez-vous of the 2008 season. Nelson are a cross between Joy Division, The Rapture and Animal Collective, who promise an explosive performance where aggressive guitars compete with delicate electronic sounds. Zombie Zombie are a mad musical scientist project based in Paris, whose horror movie-influenceds sounds are reminiscent of Suicide or Can! Hedi Slimane collaborators These New Puritans have a reputation for furious live shows. This is a band of extremes, for a night of extreme sensations. www.stageoftheart.net £10 + £1 booking fee per ticket. |
