I got the feeling like the crowd didn't know what they were getting. Everybody just stood around. Or is that what I should expect when I see Sonic Youth in a few weeks?

It didn't even sound that good. It seemed very quiet. That's probably not the right word but it just didn't feel right.

playing the same song at two different tv appearances sucks. they know they have hyper-diehard fans who watch these things religiously. they did the same thing in MMIV with unmade bed.

Yeah I noticed that too. Why are Kim's vocals so low in the mix? Now I can hear Thurston's guitar. Argh! Well, time to watch Conan....

I really wish they could have played something else, but oh well. Thurston didn't sound too well.

they also played Pattern Recognition on Craig Kilborn in 04, so there is some variety, i wouldn't count out them changing the song when they play Conan

also that was one of the best guests on a SY performance i have seen, Tracy Morgan was on fire, and Kimmel is slightly funnier then i thought

it was good. They played pretty much the same set they played at little radio. It was great to see catholic block and shaking hell again.

I was wondering if anyone noticed how thurston had to start the lyrics early in incinerate. Listen to it it's off.

Heres the setlist (I may have the order a bit off) of the entire concert, although only the first two were televised. Jimmy and Sara Silverman were sitting off to the side of the stage and Thurston made a comment thanking Sara for the DVD and then how he wanted Jimmy to die so he could marry his hot fucking wife or something like that.

Yeah I noticed that. How was the crowd those that went? It's cool they played all those songs for y'all.

The crowd wasn't too big. I was in the back, right by where Jimmy stands to announce the band, and it was perfect even from where I was. Everyone was really energetic and seems like everyone had lots of fun. I was only expecting them to play 4 or 5 songs so I was pleasantly surprised when they did 9.

You might have been on tv; did you record it?

It didn't seem like too many people were moving. I think I only saw one girl dancing, and then they panned away from her.

That was actually a good show. They played for an hour, with full force, and rocked harder then they did at the Secret Show. Maybe they wanted to impress Sarah. Either way, if you noticed on the airing of the show, NONE of the AIRIAL CAMERA shots made it. THey were ALL edited out, because me and by brother were smoking a joint in EVERY SHOT that passed directly over Our heads. One time the camera actually came back, dropped right above my fucking face, and started knodding at me while I was smoking, I didn't even see it until someone pointed to it. The camera guy was just fucking with us, cuz he knew none of those shots would ever make it on ABC (we were flipping it off two, as I said, i cant stand that asshole Kimmel).

We got to shout "Jimmy Sucks" a lot, and see a really good free show. THANK YOU SONIC FOR ALL THE FREE LA SHOWS!

Did anybody go to Tower Records after the show? Some guy there was saying that they were gonna be there signing autographs but we didnt check it out. Anybody here go?

Does anybody know if they're going to put some unaired songs on the kimmel site? It said at the end of the show to look on the site for unaired songs. But they have some Ice Cube performance on there.
