jk, i just want everyone to leave so i can post pictures of my cock without anyone seeing it and critiquing/comparing
|
i miss him like the deserts miss the rain

Quote:
let's geo this statement. do deserts miss the rain? or are they independent ecosystems that would in fact be destroyed by rain? Would a rain forest enjoy a sandstorm and bout of arid weather? WHAT WOULD A TEMPERATE SYSTEM DO IN THE FACE OF EXTREME JUXTAPOSITION? |

i miss him. he was actually nice.
|
MMhmmm mmmhhmmm, genuinely nice guy.
|
I met up with him on Monday for a gig, he's very well but he just felt a pissed off at a few things on here, and external circumstances too, or so I gathered. He said he'll still be checking his PM's on here, if anyone wants to contact him.
It's a shame, he was easily the friendliest poster on here. Come back, Melly!! |

FUCK YES. |
To answer your question:
No, I don't miss him because we talk daily This place does not deserve such a good and kind heart |
Am I like the only person who doesn't regularly MSN people and what not.
|
We talk on AIM / myspace
|
Quote:
i don't |
I used to
and then I stopped using it for like 3 years But then I met some people who used AIM So, naturally, I started using it again |
What's the difference between MSN and AIM anyways?
|
I use AIM to talk to my roommates about people in the room we don't like. That's about it.
|
Hahahah, okay preteen girl.

Different programs You can't talk to someone on aim who's using msn and vise versa |
Okay, so it's a personal preference then. Thank you for clearing that up.
|
They both suck at different things. In-Person is still the preferred method of communication. It's got streaming video.
|
He's doing fine, I see him almost every week.

It's only natural for anyone to distance themselves from any group of people who like to talk about music so much, at least for a while, considering all the negativity that often comes from it, which inevitably manages to bury all the good things. I'm not talking about him, I'm just generalising as to why every now and then people might disappear from forums etc.
|
If you love him, set him free.
If he comes back to you, it was meant to be. |
i have no idea where this thread has gone, but i do love me some melly. sayin'.

I bumped in to him on Tuesday night, i don't read the board enough to know he's stopped posting. I was going to PM him, but now I won't, I'm sure I'll bump into him on future occaisions.
|
demonrail's the only one I miss.
|
has he stopped too?
|
He hasn't posted here for ages.
|

my guesses why people would stop posting on this message board: the inescapable grostequery of middle aged american men trying to chat up teenage girls the music forums dominated my the same two or three idiots who only pay attention to themselves, and are boring 90% of other people people absolutely closed minded about music rep stupid and/or pretentious children who incapable of telling their arse from their elbow all the other good posters are leaving who even likes sonic youth now anyway? |
Quote:
completely agree on the first 5 points, however the sy thing will turn around soon when the new record comes out although yeah it cam up at my work how one of my co-workers knew the name, and it was through juno, so go figure |
Quote:
I swear he posted a month or so ago. But I wouldn't trust my word. |
Quote:
yes thats all pretty much true. plus the fact that people are shouted down by regular board members for no real reason and the constant self loathing/loving generally prevelent here. people posting porn in regular threads is also a contributing factor. i also go for the lack of musical closed mindedness of folks. who does listen to sy now anyway? |

I was just going to ask what happened to Demonrail. I miss him and Melly. I think their personalities (honest, witty, knowledgeable without pretension, very British somehow) neutralised the stereotypical forum-isms you get on here and every Internet forum (childish arguments which get incomprehensibly serious, Internet personas which bare no resemblance to real-life selves). There remains lots of great posters on here but I do hope they return. |

Funny how everyone seems to agree with these points. I'm probably going to be coming here less, I've been thinking about it for a while. |
