Having seen them last week, I'm quite excited by Family Battle Snake at the moment.

It's a shame they show their home as London and not Athens. They struck me more as Athenians than as Londoners (whatever that means).

I've always enjoyed some Man Or Astro-Man but I recently found myself listen to a lot of them. Been downloading albums left and right (hey, amoeba doesn't even have a decent stock on them... so yeah).

These are both bands that I have been aware of for a long time, but I just started actually listening to them and I love it.

Would my current obsession with Dinosaur Jr count? I had Living on vinyl since the 80s, and I also bought the Green Mind and Where You Been CDs when they came out. But I recently bought the GM and WYB vinyl, and it feels like I've discovered the albums for the first item. I thought they were so great, I had to back to the store a few days later and pick up Beyond, which is also wicked awesome.

i haven't just got into them, but lately i have been digging bardo pond a whole lot. because they're super fucking awesome.

YEAH! the singer is a friend of a friend.. awesome band.
