schizophrenicroom 04.29.2007 05:06 PM

every-e- i'm seeing them june 2nd!!

Everyneurotic 04.29.2007 05:09 PM

you're so damn lucky!!!!!!

another funeral soundtrack: deerhoof's reveille on a continous loop.

schizophrenicroom 04.29.2007 05:10 PM

i want reveille to be played on an endless loop everywhere i go.

"running thoughts" would be a neat funeral song. i'll add that to my playlist.

Everyneurotic 04.29.2007 05:11 PM

hahahaha, write it on your will.

schizophrenicroom 04.29.2007 05:14 PM

haha, i can imagine my future family reading the will going "she really was pretty nuts".

did i ever show you the pic of me with deerhoof? my elbow got all up in greg's crotch, which i honestly did not intend to do.

schizophrenicroom 04.29.2007 05:16 PM

they'd probably sit a minute or so, waiting for it to end, then leave.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA

Onani Nic 04.29.2007 06:09 PM

I'd play a bunch of tunes they used to play at the basketball to get people pumped up.
That one that goes "Boom Boom Boom, let me here you say WAY-OH"
Pump up the jams.
That song from Spacejam about gettin on the train.
Hot Stepper (Murdera, I'm the lyricsal gangster)
"I like to move it move it, ya like to MOVE IT"
"Ah Mr. Magoo, I may be blind but I can still see you"
TECHNOTRONICS
etc

Slayer - "Seasons in the Abyss"

Danny Himself 04.29.2007 06:16 PM

I will probably die of natural causes, or a random accident/disaster.

"The First Day Of My Life" by Bright Eyes would have some sort of new meaning at a funeral, I guess.

i once had a discussion in class about how i wanted to die and i said i want to be in some freak accident while having the time of my life. like, in africa i'll end up getting knocked off a cliff by a wild elephant while i'm dancing naked around a fire with some cool native tribe.

that's a beautiful choice.

maybe or maybe or maybe or maybe

81
On many an idle day I've grieved over lost time
Moaned and groaned and rolled my bones but there is no lost time
You've taken every moment of mine and put it into yours

Hidden in the heart of things you make seeds into sprouts
Hidden in the heart of things you make buds into flowers
And hidden in the heart of things you make flowers into edible things

I was tired and sleeping on my idle bed one night
And I imagined all the work had ended for the night
But in the morning I woke up and found my house was bright

What majestic treats do you still have in store for me?
A breath of death, a day of rest and o make me wealthy
And in the arms of your old charms
Let me forever bask
Is that too much to ask?

or maybe

When entering:
My My, Hey Hey (Out Of The Blue)
followed by
Hey Hey, My My (Into The Black)
when leaving.

or maybe the combination of both
or maybe

luxinterior 04.29.2007 06:45 PM

I was just thinking that instead of music I'd like one of my older relatives to do a reading of some erotic poetry.

Slaaaayeeeerrrr!
\m/ \m/

It'd be either Hell Awaits or South of Heaven.
Seriously, It wouldn't, but I don't really care at this point. Maybe I would if I'd become terminally ill and had time to think about it. I'd love to have my entire family getting exposed to something like Merzbow though, without them having the option to get up and walk out.

schizophrenicroom 04.29.2007 07:03 PM

i think it'd be awesome to have someone yell out lesbian erotica stories while that jock jams cd plays in the background.

This would have been a good song to play at Kurt's Funeral.

Oh Mickey, you're so fine,
You're so fine you blow my mind
Hey Mickey! Hey Mickey!

Oh Mickey, you're so fine,
You're so fine you blow my mind
Hey Mickey! Hey Mickey!

Oh Mickey, you're so fine,
You're so fine you blow my mind
Hey Mickey! Hey Mickey!

Hey Mickey!!!

You've been around all night,
And that's a little long.
You think you've got the right,
But I think you've got it wrong.
Why can't you say 'goodnight'
So u can take me home, Mickey!
Please take me home Mickey!

Cuz when you say you will,
It always means you won't.
You're givin' me the chills,
Baby please, baby don't!
Every night you still
Leave me all alone, Mickey!

Oh Mickey, what a pity,
You don't understand!
You take me by the heart
And you take me by the hand!
Oh Mickey, you're so pretty
Why can't you understand?
It's guys like you, Mickey!
Oh, what you do, Mickey
Do, Mickey,
Don't break my heart, Mickey!

Hey Mickey!

Now when you take me by the hooves,
Who evers gonna know?
Every time you move,
I let a little more show!
There's something you can use,
So please don't say 'no' Mickey!

So come on, and give it to me
Anyway you can.
Anyway you wanna do it,
I'll take it like a man!
So please, baby, please
Don't leave me in the down, Mickey!

Hey Mickey!

Oh Mickey, you're so fine,
You're so fine you blow my mind
Hey Mickey! Heh, Heh, Hey Mickey!

Oh Mickey, you're so fine,
You're so fine u blow my mind
Hey Mickey! Heh, heh,Hey Mickey!

Oh Mickey, you're so fine,
You're so fine u blow my mind
Hey Mickey! Heh, heh,Hey Mickey!

Oh Mickey, you're so fine,
You're so fine u blow my mind
Hey Mickey! Heh, heh,Hey Mickey!

Oh Mickey, what a pity,
You don't understand!
You take me by the heart
And you take me by the hand!
Oh Mickey, you're so pretty
Why can't you understand?
It's guys like you, Mickey!
Oh, what you do, Mickey
Do, Mickey,
Don't break my heart, Mickey!

"2 rights make 1 wrong" or "Friend of the Night" by Mogwai

sonicl 04.30.2007 02:47 AM

Days by Kirsty Maccoll (originally by The Kinks).

Thank you for the days,
Those endless days, those sacred days you gave me.
I’m thinking of the days,
I won’t forget a single day, believe me.

I bless the light,
I bless the light that lights on you believe me.
And though you’re gone,
You’re with me every single day, believe me.

Days I’ll remember all my life,
Days when you can’t see wrong from right.
You took my life,
But then I knew that very soon you’d leave me,
But it’s all right,
Now I’m not frightened of this world, believe me.

I wish today could be tomorrow,
The night is dark,
It just brings sorrow anyway.

Thank you for the days,
Those endless days, those sacred days you gave me.
I’m thinking of the days,
I won’t forget a single day, believe me.

Days I’ll remember all my life,
Days when you can’t see wrong from right.
You took my life,
But then I knew that very soon you’d leave me,
But it’s all right,
Now I’m not frightened of this world, believe me.
Days.

Thank you for the days,
Those endless days, those sacred days you gave me.
I’m thinking of the days,
I won’t forget a single day, believe me.

I bless the light,
I bless the light that shines on you believe me.
And though you’re gone,
You’re with me every single day, believe me.
Days.

The first time I heard the song was a version by Elvis Costello on the soundtrack of Wim Wenders' Until The End Of The World, but that version is far too gloomy.
