contra!!!!!!

SolidZach 05.12.2006 08:18 PM

Yes, I remember the power glove. I also rember this thing that you could wear over your shirt or somthing and it would shake when you did certain things. I dunno for sure, but I saw it in a pawn shop once.

Lethrneck4 05.12.2006 11:52 PM

any of you ever check out the Minibosses or the Advantage? great great rock covers of the best NES music. The Minibosses' Mega Man 2 and Castlevania 2 are incredible

krastian 05.12.2006 11:55 PM

I've heard about bands that cover NES songs but never checked them out. My band sometimes busts out the Mike Tyson Punch Out jam when he is riding his bike after beating a Circuit fight.

SolidZach 08.14.2006 03:32 AM

I have my nes box!

Mario II - I've wanted to go back and play the mario games since I'm older now and can get all the drug related metaphors.

Mario III

TMNT II: The Arcade Game

Mega Man III

Zelda

Caveman Games - Great Multiplayer Fun, Way Before Mario Party

nature scene 08.14.2006 10:16 AM

Super Dodge Ball was definitely a game for the NES, a great one.

krastian 08.14.2006 02:20 PM

Caveman Games was some good ass shit.

Kanamori Happy 02.01.2009 08:44 PM

Wrath of the Black Manta

Terminator 2: Judgment Day
Super Mario Bros./Duck Hunt
Solstice

noisereductions 02.01.2009 08:46 PM

NES is one of the greatest systems ever.

deflinus 02.01.2009 08:51 PM

me and my exgirlfriend became so obsessed with this game. we didn't stop until we beat it. probably one of the best top 5 gaming experiences ever. period.

Sonic Youth 37 02.01.2009 08:55 PM

I think I might buy a SNES this week. $40 including controller. I paid $20 for my NES about 5 years ago or so.

noisereductions 02.01.2009 09:04 PM

The Mega Man games are some of my all time favorites ever. I have the Anthology for PS2. I want the Mega Man X anthology as well.

o'connor 02.01.2009 09:25 PM

lol, what a coincidence, i stayed up till 5 am playing NES w/ a new lady friend of mine. excite bike, bionic commando and some mario bros 2. damn good time.

HaydenAsche 02.01.2009 11:26 PM

I prefer the SNES. I love the shit out of DOOM.

Everyneurotic 02.01.2009 11:57 PM

fuck yes!

nes and snes, i have both, gathering dust under my tv set.

Sonic Youth 37 02.02.2009 01:25 AM

I love the shit out of my NES. I just picked up this (cartridge only for $2.95! last week)

tw2113 02.02.2009 02:14 AM

For whatever reason, I pretty much attached myself to Dusty Diamond's All-star Softball. My all time favorite NES sports game.

pbradley 02.02.2009 03:19 AM

I'm more nostalgic for the ritual of the system than any particular game, like blowing out the cartridge. More of a SNES and computer kid.

Except for Double Dragon. Fucking loving kneeing the goons in the head and then tossing them by their hair.

phoenix 02.02.2009 06:19 AM

mario bros 3
battletoads

most superior games by far. Can't think of any others off hand that even came close, but its been a long long time.

noisereductions 02.02.2009 08:14 AM

Nightmare On Elm Street for the NES is one of my favorite games of all time. Maybe even my favorite. It's so fun. ANd the music rules.

atsonicpark 02.02.2009 04:55 PM

^^^Yeah, I love the Nightmare on Elm Street game too. Here's my biting it from a long time ago:

At one point I owned around 300 NES games. Ended up selling 'em all though except for Contra, the Castlevanias, and Journey to Silius. All the rest that were good I have on collections (Mega Man Collection, Castlevania collection, Super Mario Allstars) and such.

Derek 02.02.2009 04:57 PM

Where did you get 300 NES titles from? I'm lucky if I can find SNES titles anymore!

atsonicpark 02.02.2009 04:59 PM

Pawn shops and online and shit. I live next to about 5 pawn shops, including one that has at least 2000 NES games. Yes, 2000. Obviously, about 500 of those are copies of Fester's Quest. But yeah.

I have about 40-50 SNES games, all the great ones really. I sold the shitty or just "decent" ones. I have 50 Genesis games... about 30 PS1 games. Again, only the essentials for all the systems. I used to be a big collector of games but now I just keep the ones I LOVE.

Derek 02.02.2009 05:04 PM

Ah right. Yeah I have no space to keep ANYTHING so my collecting habits are annoying. And I don't think I live near any sort of pawn shop that isn't stolen jewellery or crap CDs.

Dr. Eugene Felikson 02.02.2009 10:02 PM

Trust me. I will kick your ass in this.

vulva 02.02.2009 10:31 PM

Startropics is still my all time favourite game.

I've beat Battletoads before. Not using an emulator

lots of game stores do have a trade/sell area for older games/systems. If you can't see it just ask, if they dont have one they will(should) know where to direct you.
