YES, AGREE. and they'll make me take urine tests to make sure i'm not smoking weed. however they don't test for LSD... i'm sure tripping balls doesn't affect work performance.

Wait, I take it you don't like crustyz and gutter punx ;)

I must admit, I have hung out with too many gangsters and crusty brawlers so smashing things, vandalism, getting into gratuitous fights, and especially vomiting have all been reoccurring themes for me, ironically more so in the eight years I DIDN'T drink than in the more recent few that I have (to be sure, we've gotten into a bar fight or two and smashed a few things in various places since I've started drinking too, but considerably less, we're older, have families, and of course I'm too cheap to waste my money drinking at a bar, $7-10 for a beer?? Now that REALLY makes me want to smash shit )

Wait, that is not a good or viable alternative yo. Save your brain, and get a piss kit! And besides, you should be eating mushrooms anyways ;)

potheads don't kill thousands a year trying to drive home. potheads don't abuse their families physically and verbally because they got high. potheads do not lose their sense of reason and inhibition. drunks do.

Rob Instigator 03.07.2013 10:42 AM

i wasn't *really* ragging on alcohol, it was more of a polemic stance vs. whatsisname's argument that pot smokers were "tragic". well sure, some may be, but i see more "tragic" cases with booze (e.g., domestic violence peaks on superbowl day). in any case, i like a drink in fun company, so yeah...

EVOLghost 03.07.2013 01:36 PM

Is it possible to smoke too much pot in one sitting? I mean...after a while shit just kills yer throat or you just end up wanting to go to sleep...

Lets be careful here not to romanticize the herb. Some people are naturally addictive people, and can't maintain a successful or normal or functional life while being constantly inebriated on the lamb's breath collie. For example some people can't control themselves and spend as much money as ANY drug addict would, and that cuts into the bills, cuts into the family. If its things for the kids or an extra 1/4 oz I'd say hook the kids up and smoke a nick of that Arizona yo! But some folks don't have that sense of self-control. I've seen some people literally wreck ship over thousands and thousands of dollars in debt to pot-smoke, having as Cheech and Chong sang, "Up in smoke, that's where my money goes." Other folks are less than great parents when they are stoned, not attentive enough to the families needs. Some people are outright deatbeats when they smoke.

See the reality is what Bob Marley said, "When you smoke herb it reveals you to yourself." Well, some people are lazy, some people are selfish, some people are self-destructive. So realistically, these people at the least should smoke less pot it not any at all ;)

Me? My bills are paid, my responsibilities met, I'm putting aside Wesley Pipes toking it up out the big bong yo!

*applauds* great post.

Rob Instigator 03.07.2013 02:50 PM

I do not romanticize anything. Just the facts about the alcohol damage.

anything and everything can be abused.

The hell he says! You know what, at this point in my life, I get it. People who don't smoke have been misled, and out of their inherent, possibly instinctive, fear of being stigmatized, ostracized, or misunderstood would rather completely disengage on this issue rather then fully engage the dialogue. They are willfully and alas woefully ignorant, because of their voluntary blinders. They buy into the government assumptions because its safer than taking the risk of sincerely hearing out the current science.

I just won a bet at work. Thanks for paying for my drugs!
