yes i pay taxes in new mexico you glutton. i pay them happily. i get roads and public infrastructure, schools for the kids, cops, firefighters, some measure of social services (unfortunately not enough) and other benefits of living in what's called a community, like a wonderful public library.

i'd happily pay more if we could get some universal health insurance, some public arts center in my town, some after-school programs for kids, and some treatment for the alkies. no problem.
