Good advice there, but I already bought a new computer last month as preparation for moving over to broadband. My old one was so knackered it would take ten minutes to open a word document from the "My Documents" folder.

I think that it's important to be able to download or upload stuff fast. You should also check how much you're allowed per month. 20GB? 40GB?
It's crap to have a limit on your downloading/uploading. Especially when you want films.

That's why I think 2mb will likely serve you well enough; when streaming radio, my time from clicking a button to actually hearing something used to be anything up to a minute but has come down to about 3 seconds with the new comuter. Downloading music etc is similarly speedy.

I'm going to go with Sky, and I'm going for the 2Mb speed on the basis that if it's not enough for my needs I can upgrade.
