Xenophobe NES sucks ass. I really haven't played anything in about a week sadly. Been really busy with life.

King Of Fighters 2002
After playing enough SFA3(still in training mode) I felt I needed somethign else. so I started up KoF. Sweet game. I need more practice but thank god I already know two characters quite extensively thanks to CVS2. Anyways. here's my team. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

The arcade version of Xenophobe can be a blast, but the key is to find a good weapon ASAP. You'll never be able to clear a level with the popgun you start off with. I recommend you get Midway Arcade Treasures 2...it has Xenophobe, plus APB, Gauntlet II, Mortal Kombat 2 & 3, NARC, and Total Carnage plus others. Only thing is, with Xenophobe you're always limited to 1/3 of the screen, no matter how many people are playing. Also, the control scheme is kinda awkward since 3 buttons on the controller correspond to the original joystick's configuration of a trigger with two general action buttons on top. But once you get the hang of it, you'll see why it's considered a multiplayer classic. Xenophobe was a weird one. The art style was borderline cartoonish and horrific, the cabinet design had the monitor stuck on top of a skinny post, and it's the only game I've seen besides Killer7 with no demo/attract mode whatsoever... |

I'm a big fan of hte series, but i hated the Wii game because of the motion controls. Why couldn't they let you use a GCN controller instead on this one??? |
^ I like it, a lot, actually!
I bought that, Zak & Wiki (Wii), Kao the Kangaroo (GBA), and Devil May Cry (PS2) the other day - but Onechanbara is the game that has me hooked for the time being. I actually like the motion controls, although I can't seem to figure out just how to kill those damn blood-zombies yet... |
PLaying the "artist is present". You wait in line to meet an artist.
I was kicked out once tbecause I shoved the person in front of me too much. http://www.pippinbarr.com/games/thea...IsPresent.html I was trying to play "Don't Shit Your Pants" but the game wouldn't load for me. http://www.kongregate.com/games/Rete/dont-shit-your-pants |

I'd hate to meet the guy who actually has enough patience to wait in a virtual line. |
Radiant Silvergun didn't impress me right off the bat, I'll give it another try.
|
JUst beat the Golemn Twins on my 1st try guy! ;)
If it means anything, the 3rd tier of baddies on the elevator prior gave me hell. |

fuck you. I never beat them. |
Street Fighter Alpha 3. Still my favorite fighting game ever.

Did you give it a go w/ Lucca's Hypno Wave? It's essential - maybe give her a silver stud too. I'd also recommend bringing along Frog (w/ a gold earring), for his 'Heal' ability - and don't forget the 'Lapis' item! Restores 200 HP to each member in your party. |

ERMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM Who do you play as? yeah I've been playing this since it's the newest SF game i have LOL! I've been usin' Karin more. she kicks butt. Ken is awesome with his third super. Akuma is beast as always. Though I hate Akuma's demon flip in the Alphas. Sagat is also beast. Charlie is an ok sub for Guile(I play arcade version). Actually I'm about to play it....(after I smoke a bowl.) |
Right now I've been using Guy a lot. If you know how to use him he's a killer except he has a total disadvantage against some characters and his moves just set up for them to kick your ass.
Cody and Ken are always fun. I like Vega a lot in that game as well. Karin can chain stuff together like crazy! Akuma as you mentioned is a monster but his demon flips annoy me as well. Still can't do his air fireballs to this day. I pull it off once every thousand years. ~Jeremy~ |
I finally got first place in all "Ruby" courses on "standard" on F-Zero GX. I could never find a ship that I could negotiate sharp corners well, and I now have found one, finally. Twin Noritta! Damn and... Story mode on hard IS HARD.
|
AHHHHHHHHHHHHH So excited. Finally got SF3.3S to work on my Ps3.(Sorry NoizeRedux, it's not the PSN version). and I also finally got SSF4AE. yesterday I was actually doin' good against my rival(My cousin).
Just that....Vega...he is the death of me. |

it's cool. I never bought the PSN version since I have it on the PS2 disc already. I didn't get AE either, just stuck with SSF4. |
played a little sf3. gonna play some Valkryia Chronicles when I get home frmo work. I gotta finish it still....and I have no idea where I left off.
|
^ Wow! Valkyria Chronicles looks neat! JUST ANOTHER outstanding reason for me to try and nab a PS3 this holiday season!
![]() Anywho... I played some more CT this morning, followed by a brief round of Shock Troopers off my SNK Arcade Classics vol 1 (Wii) disc. Later on, after running some errands, I decided to start a game in Devil May Cry. I'm new to the series, and I've gotta say... ![]() ... GEE WHIZ!! THIS IS FUN!!!! The controls felt a bit wonky at first, especially with the dramatic camera angles, but once I started to get the hang of things, the game really started cookin'! The combat is fast-paced, fun, smooth, and rewarding! I can already tell that it won't take long before this game becomes harder than all hell. I also really like this game's use of the rumble feature during cut-scenes so far. Very cool game; it's nice to finally see what all the hype is about. |
yeah Valkyria Chronicles is one I keep meaning to get around to. I have too many unplayed games right now though.

Valk Chronic is cool. And DMC1 rocks. The first boss Lave Spider...maaaan...it took me a while to beat him. I actually had (rage)quit the game. But I later finally got around to beating it. I also had 2. Made no sense, but gameplay was just as fun and you even got to play as a chick! Never played 3, but I want to. I hear it's the best one. Had 4 too. It was....you know....Devil May Cry..Don't remember much about it though, it was my first ps3 game. |
^that's awesome.
|
Man, I love ScummVM. Kind of neat that it comes with Beneath a Steel Sky and Lure of the Temptress on it. Sky is great, never played Temptress. Feels kind of odd cause you can get both of those anywhere anyway and don't need ScummVM.
|
yeah SCUMMVM rules. It's on EVERYTHING, too which is great.
|
radiant silvergun, kof2k2um, ssf4ae, yakuza 4 and shadows of the damned~
|
SF4 seems a hell of a lot easier after playing a shit ton of SFA3.
|
inputs for sf4 were really simplified, which is a good and bad thing. It is neat, though, since it allows for so many option selects.
Also SF cross Tekken is so outrageously fun. |
^ j00 played it?
It looks amazing. I seriously can't wait for it. |
flipside - miner threat

Ahhh you went to EVO? Shit dood. Was it expensive? Oh and did you compete?
|
EVO wasn't too costly, I went last year too. I have a friend who works for choice hotels in the states so I was paying 10 bucks a night for the hotel. Total entry fees were 80 bucks (70 registration and 10 for ssf4ae). That said, I didn't get to compete. I was driving up from LA and our car broke down on the way there, so I missed my pool. Still had a blast, though.
Also while there I met my favourite tgirl~ ![]() |
Is that Kayo Police? lol....
dood....but taht sounds awesome. I would've loved to just be there. That looks so much fun. And it was pretty exciting this year too! |
Goddamn Lavos just made me his bitch
|
Yeah that's Kayo. Man, she's so fucking nice.
EVO was so much fun this year, and Japan reminded us why the US is the land of the free ;o |
or it im not sure if Lavos has a gender
